Here's some neat pictures of us using orange drywall mud to create stucco on all the inside walls of our farmhouse.  It is a great way to seal up all the cracks and air leaks you get with these old houses.  It is done by adding paint right to your drywall mud until you get the colors you want.  You can also do a wash of paint over the walls if it dries too light. Lots and lots of drywall tape for every seam.  We used a hopper to do the ceilings, what a fun mess it is!  And we used a regular drywall knife to do the walls and some ceilings. We made very rough texture marks on the walls to look like stucco.  The walls change colors during the day with the light. It's a very inexpensive way to seal up your house.  And it looks like Tuscany........

we tore out the closets and walls and opened up the whole back of the farmhouse to make 3 large open rooms.  It is soooo much warmer this way.  Only walls are around the bathroom and walk-in closet in the middle of the house.
